Horton Introduces HTEC 2500 Fan
July 14, 2015
Roseville, Minn. – Horton, Inc. has announced the introduction of its new HTEC 2500 composite fan series, specifically designed for rigorous off-highway applications.
„Equipment in the mining, construction, and oil and gas industries endures harsh operating conditions,“ says Nels Johnson, Horton’s vice president of business development. „The HTEC 2500 fan has been engineered to provide unmatched performance and durability in those environments.“
This latest innovation from the 65-year-old manufacturer of fans and fan drives ushers in a new era in fan development as the first and only fan on the market produced using a structural thermoset composite rather than traditional plastic or metal.
The HTEC 2500 provides excellent corrosion resistance and anti-spark operation for hazardous working environments. The computer-optimized fan blade design provides greater cooling efficiency while reducing noise and fuel consumption.
This new patent-pending fan is constructed with a proprietary thermoset material to achieve greater durability, high tip speeds and a higher operating temperature rating than metal or molded fans for aggressive customer applications.
The HTEC 2500 pairs perfectly with the Horton Modulator RCV2000 fully variable fan drive for even greater performance and is also compatible with other manufacturer’s fan drives.
