Horton DM Advantage® On/Off Fan Clutch Option For Next Generation Freightliner Cascadia®
July 27, 2017
Horton – a premium provider of engine cooling solutions worldwide – is now an unpublished option for Freightliner’s new Next Generation Cascadia® model, one of the company’s most popular over-the-road trucks. Building on a longstanding partnership between Horton and Freightliner, customers will be able to incorporate Horton’s DM Advantage® On/Off Fan Clutch by utilizing the fan drive code 273-018 when finalizing their truck specs.
Horton’s DM Advantage On/Off Fan Clutch is a proven solution that offers the lowest cost of ownership. Spring-engaged and air-disengaged for maximum efficiency, the fan clutch is lightweight and includes a longwearing friction liner for maximum reliability. Unlike other on/off fan clutches on the market, the DM Advantage On/Off Fan Clutch also incorporates a patented DRAC (double row angular contact) bearing, which includes 14 rolling elements per row instead of the industry standard 10. This proprietary feature offers the highest reliability. Additionally, these bearings have the highest temperature seals, grease and cages offered on the market and have proven over the years to be the industries’ most robust design.
“We’re proud to provide Freightliner customers with a superior on/off fan clutch solution that ensures reliability and efficiency so customers can feel confident that they have made the right choice to guarantee uptime,” said Tom Kleich, Horton director of sales – truck. “The Horton DM Advantage On/Off Fan Clutch is the most durable on/off fan clutch offered in the industry and is available not only for the new Freightliner Next Generation Cascadia, but also the legacy Cascadia and other medium-duty Freightliner trucks.”
Customers interested in the Horton DM Advantage On/Off Fan Clutch for their Freightliner vehicles should update the fan drive code to 273-018 when finalizing their truck specs. For any questions, contact your Horton representative or visit www.hortonww.com.
